    Andy Lewis

Andy Lewis is the founding ‘Father” of F.I.R.E. His vision of providing a better way of making contact with the citizens of the Las Vegas to better educate and inform them about Fire & Life Safety issues. He is also the sole rider of the F.I.R.E. Bike. He has managed to keep not only his weight in check over the years but also his cat like reflexes at the starting line. He continually amazes people by launching the bike at reaction times of .400 seconds!!

    Neal Carter

Neal Carter is the Crew Chief for the FIREBike. He also manages the electronic media that pushes out information about the F.I.R.E. program. Neal worked at the City of Las Vegas Fire Station #3 when Andy approached him with the idea of F.I.R.E. Together with our other team member Bill Ramthun they began the process of setting up a non-profit public education program with a Suzuki Pro-Stock Drag Racing Motorcycle as its center piece.

  • BillBig

    Bill Ramthun

Bill is the best crew member you could EVER ask for! Bill gets Andy ready for each of his trips down the drag strip. Making sure that Andy has all of his safety gear on and secured. He pushes the FIREBike and Andy into the staging area and gets the FIREBike started. Bill has talked to more people out at the events than one could count. He is one of those very approachable guys that people like to talk to and Bill likes to talk!

What is F.I.R.E.?

Firefighters Involved in Racing for Education FIRE was first organized in 1998 by Andy Lewis. With the assistance of Neal Carter, Bill Ramthun and numerous other like minded citizens of Clark County Nevada, F.I.R.E. became a reality. Andy spent many hours talking with the Las Vegas City Mayor and Council discussing the program and its benefits to the community. The City Council agreed and approved F.I.R.E. and its unorthodox delivery method, a Suzuki Pro-Stock Drag Racing Motorcycle capable of speeds in excess of 180mph! Since then F.I.R.E. has been invited to numerous schools and community events to promote Fire & Life Safety Education in and around the Las Vegas Valley.
